Thank you to all the volunteers, community partners, friends and supporters who help Urban Adamah grow so we can help nourish. | | | AVODAT LEV: SERVICE OF THE HEART Shabbat Morning with Urban Adamah With special guest Estelle Frankel Saturday, September 8, 10am Join Urban Adamah staff and fellows for our unique Shabbat morning service, which includes chanting, movement, poetry and contemplative time on the farm, following the journey of the traditional Shabbat morning service. Avodat Lev (Service of the Heart) is designed to help us connect to ourselves, each other and to that which connects us all. No Hebrew language skills or any other experience of any kind is necessary. Join us at 10am for the service and stay for a potluck vegetarian brunch. For our September edition of our farm concert series, we're excited to showcase four of our favorite local bands: TREEHOUSE ORCHESTRA BIRD BY SNOW YASSOU BENEDICT MELITA Come to Urban Adamah's big tent for a rocking evening! Bring a cozy layer, your favorite mug and a friend. We'll serve farm-brewed chai ($1) and free freshly popped organic popcorn. Doors open at 6:45pm Sliding scale: $5-$20. All proceeds support the farm and the musicians. Limited work-exchange tickets are available (help us set up and take down in exchange for free admission). Start your week with sweetness and community under the full moon over San Pablo. We'll celebrate havdallah (the short, musical ceremony that separates Shabbat from the rest of the week) with a bonfire, fresh-popped organic popcorn, farm-brewed chai and, of course, an 80s Dance Party spun by Adam Berman aka DJ Donuts. Bring a treat for our traditional dessert potluck (veggie only), warm clothes and your favorite mug. Come at 7pm for a drink and a shmooze. We'll make havdallah around 8pm and continue the evening with more music and dancing. Gather: 7pm Bonfire: 8pm
