You can by coming to the CNS Retreat 2013, 'It Takes a Shtetl' and learning from our scholar-in-residence, Eddy Portnoy, about the challenges our ancestors faced when they ran away from Eastern Europe and settled in East NY. Under Eddy's guidance we'll see life as they did, in the writings and cartoons of the Yiddish Press.
And since our community thrives on studying, singing, eating, and enjoying nature, we'll have plenty of that as well, including activities for youths of all ages.
A $100 deposit per adult will hold your spot. Registration forms are due by APRIL 22 but full payment isn't due until MAY 10.
