| Brit Kodesh
The Rabbinical Assembly, in cooperation with The Jewish Theological Seminary, is again offering a course for physicians, entitled "Brit Kodesh, A Sacred Covenant: A Conference on Brit Milah." Qualified physicians and health care practitioners who are clinically trained and highly experienced in medical circumcision, and who are practicing Conservative Jews, can apply with the recommendation of their rabbis and the approval of their local Rabbinical Assembly regions. The course is open to health care practitioners, including, for example, physicians and residents in ob/gyn, pediatrics, family practice; nurse midwives, et al., who are trained to do neonatal circumcisions and are shomrei mitzvot.
The last time the course was given was in 2003, so if you know someone who is eligible-congregants, friends, or acquaintances-encourage them to consider it. Feel free to forward this email to them.
