And Yet We Love
(c) Rabbi Menachem Creditor
are the eyes of my child, friend, teacher.
Seeing the self, the other, and beyond.
...
What right has the friend to describe the experience of the other?
Can experience be truly communicated?
Is there interconnectedness beyond supportive presence?
Does presence suffice? Suffice whom?
Whose needs?
...
For all the intimacy life's journey contains,
despite expansive love shared through decades,
The heart can be connected, but is ultimately unknowable.
...
And yet we love.
Fiercely.
