A Short Teaching of a New Zionism
A teaching of my teacher and friend, Chancellor Arnold Eisen of the JewishTheological Seminary, has stirred something within me: for every (legitimate) "no" with which we respond to something in Israel, we must remember to shout 5 "yes's" from the rooftops. Yes, Charedim rioting against justice or democracy demand attention. So too does the Israeli delegation of surgeons restoring eyesight to over 2,000 people in developing countries.
